Mike,
Does your hosting provider have to be local?  We have used a number of hosting providers before arriving at Rackspace.  They have been the only hosting provider that has ever met our standards.  Prior to using Rackspace we would find ourselves troubleshooting problems that we weren't certain if they were caused by our application services or by the networking infrastructure.  When we switched to Rackspace these problems disappeared.  I'll stop now, since this is beginning to sound like an infomercial.  I promise that I have no vested interest in Rackspace; just a happy customer.

Good luck!

Can anyone recommend a good local hosting company?

We've got a pretty simple setup, just JBoss, Apache and Oracle.  But
it's got heavy traffic and lot's of growth (hopefully).

Thanks,

Mike
