I can personally speak to the ease of use of Apache's
HttpClient. I was trying to use Sun's API, and it would have worked fine,
but I had to authenticate to both an internal proxy and the external website,
keep cookies, the whole nine yards. With HttpClient, not only did I get
farther in 15 minutes than I did with Sun in 4 hours, but I used less
code.
