I've used both Jad and Jode, and they both have plugins for Eclipse.  I prefer Jad, but it doesn't support JDK 1.5 or above, development has pretty much halted.  Jode isn't much better, it takes JDK 1.5 classes but doesn't handle generics or varargs at all.

I just went hunting for a decompiler and didn't like any of the GUI tools, and when I saw that they all use JAD, I just grabbed it.

I occasionally decompile a class file, often just to make sure that a jar that got built has the expected version of code in it.  I used to use DJ Decompiler, but I got a new machine and had to reinstall, and I noticed that it now has limited free usage (like 10 uses).

What free decompilers do y'all recommend?

Thanks, Joe
