Mason is definitely easier for me, as I live and work in Loveland.

For UC CAS, I would be heading down I-71 (which is only bad at Pfeiffer Road where cars are entering the interstate).  However, if it were in Mason, those coming from work in Kentucky or downtown would be fighting all the people that work downtown and live in the suburbs in order to get to Mason.  I think it's easier to drive into the city at rush hour than to drive out of it at that time.  Anyone disagree?  Is this an issue?

Perhaps a revolving location would be best.  UC CAS one month, Mason the next.  No matter where we put it, there are people that won't be able to make it every month, so why not make it easier for some one month, easier for others the next?  I see an issue with this as we might (in the long run) have a case where we have "the UC people" and "the Mason people."  This is divisive, but we still can all connect on the listserv, so it this divisiveness an issue?

I think maybe I'm done rambling.  What does everyone think?

A question to ask is where are people comming from when they attend.

I drive in from Milford,  Mason is convient for me,

1)easy to drive to
2) easy to park

UC is more of a challenge for me (it may be easier for others though):
1)  drive time longer
2) drive back home afterwords is longer
3) parking (usually costs $$ at UC, and walk time needs to be added to the communte ).

I could be off here, but Mason/ Westchester/ Liberty Township seems to be the
growth area.  I would not be surprised to find that many programmers live
in one of these areas.

That is one of the reason's why many new jobs are in these areas.

Factors to consider:
1) distance from where people work to meeting.
2) Ease of parking for meeting (include time to get from car to meeting location)
3) distance from meeting to home.

How are people impacted by these 3 factors for UC and Mason?

Thanks
Mike

I guess it depends on what area CinJUG is trying to cover.  If the
goal is to include as many people as possible in the Greater Cinci
area, then Mason is too far north to accomodate that goal.  I think
the closer to downtown Cincinnati, the better we are able to reach
people from all over KY, OH, and IN.  So, in my opinion, UC seems to
be the better choice.
