Hello, I'm new here, so I don't know if this is proper use of the listserv or not. I tried to find a bulletin board on the java website to post this question, but to no avail. I work for a a company that connects advertisers to users using the medium of their mobile phones. I've developed a Java MIDlet for installation on the users' phones and having some trouble with it. Deployment is just fine. All the phones we've tested on can download the JAD and install the JAR without any trouble. The problem is with either this Motorola phone or the Cincinnati Bell Wireless carrier. When the program is running, it reads information from one of our websites, but on this Motorola, it can't. One of our friends installed the program on his Blackberry and had the same problem, and he uses Cincinnati Bell as well. Do any of you know if Cincinnati Bell has something weird set up with their network that would cause a problem like this? OR if There's something special I have to do with the Motorola to allow my program to connect to the internet? |
