Absolutely agree.
Johnson does a good review of various approaches
before he tells you why his approach is the best.
So you get more than just the "Spring" point of view.
He also had a previous book that didn't talk so 
much about Spring.

That would be a good poll question.
Are people still using EJBs for new development?
I'd be curious.  
But that's certainly a different thread.
