It was a good topic, but there's still one part that I don't see ever
changing regardless of
Data Processing or Object Oriented.
This probably happens more often when you're a consultant,
but I'm sure it occurs other times also.
When the user (the one who is paying the bills) starts the project off with
'we know what data is available,
and we've mocked up what we want the pages to look like and how they should
flow,
what we need is for someone to get it on the Web'
sometimes there isn't much room for discussion as to the best way to do it.
You can make suggestions, but if they're adamant (and they are, after all,
paying
the bills), you're pretty much locked into what they want,
and you'll never get out of the Data and Processing scenerio.
How do you typically address these?
