Hi Everyone,

The next Cinjug meeting is this Monday at 5:30 PM in Norwood.
http://www.cinjug.org

We had to reschedule some speakers due to their conflicts.
Here is what we will be doing this Monday:

5:30 - Greet and Eat - get to know others in the Java programming field
6:00 - Give Aways:

1. Prentice Hall has sent us two copies of "Network Distributed
Computing" by Max Goff (Sun Microsystems) to give away.
2. SourceBeat has offered us to raffle a free online book of your choice.
3. SourceBeat has also offered these promo codes to any Cinjug members
for a 20% discount:

Eclipse Live - JUGEL
Struts Live - JUGSL
Axis Live - JUGAL

   Just go to http://www.sourcebeat.com/

6:15 - Java Group Therapy - Go around the room and give your name and Java interest.

6:30 - 7:30 - Java Based Web Sites - Christopher Burkey (that is myself) will demonstrate an updated Cinjug web site using the open source Blojsom blog tool along with his own Open Edit Java libraries.

Christopher and other Open Edit developers will discuss how Open Edit approaches the typical dynamic Java web site construction and why they think that using Open Edit is superior to JavaServer Faces, Tapestry or other "lesser" environments.

Christopher has been working on Java web sites for over five years and offers Open Edit tools and services to multiple marketing firms here in Cincinnati.

After the meeting Christopher and others will be available to help setup a new blog for anyone who would like one on the Cinjug web site.
