PCMS, a global software and services company specializing in retail
applications, has an immediate need for a full time technical instructor to
provide training for internal development staff, customers' IT staff and our
distributor network. When you are not teaching our product architecture and
development frameworks, you will be working on developing course content and
product documentation.
Candidates must:

Be proficient in Java and J2EE development - significant STRUTS experience is
strongly desired but not absolutely required as long as you are strong on OOP,
MVC, SQL and ORM mapping concepts. The ideal candidate would have some
experience with STRUTS2, Spring and iBATIS frameworks.

Have a background in training or the ability to demonstrate instructor
credentials or equivalent experience. We're looking for the right personality
to present in front of a demanding technical audience.

Be business savvy and can handle a consultative training environment. This
position is not about teaching canned content - it requires the ability to
develop a deep understanding of our product architecture and lead highly
interactive adult learning sessions.

Have the writing skills necessary for the development of instructional material.
*
Be available for travel 30% - 50%. This will occasionally require international
travel to the home office in the UK and worldwide distributor partners.
