Sr. Application Developer
Key Job Responsibilities:
Implements effective business systems applications consistent with client requirements and established time schedules. Candidates use appropriate platform and technologies to develop the logic, coding, and testing of applications programs. Work may include developing new applications, enhancing or maintaining existing applications, and/or integrating purchased applications with existing systems and technologies. Focus is on the effective implementation of applications that optimize the use of technology and meet client business needs.
Experience Required:
Minimum of 4 years Java (J2EE) development; Experience with managing complex projects in a Websphere/RAD6 environment;
Preferred: SOAP, WBI/Websphere Process Server, Agency Management System (Applied, AMS, etc.) Integration, Project Management
Knowledge & Skills:
Required: Knowledge of the Portlet API (window states, modes, portlet sessions and requests, scopes); XML, JSP/Servlet, _javascript_, Struts, Tag Libraries, WSAD, JUNIT
Preferred: Knowledge about various types of projects, WAS, JSP, EAR, EJBs, project dependencies. Oracle, DB2, SQL.
Education
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
