Position:
Software Developer / Software Consultant
Description
Software
developers will work on the development of Tier 1’s core learning and
knowledge management product, Performance1, as well as custom software
solutions for clients. The individual should have a great deal of initiative
and outstanding problems solving skills and be willing to work with limited
direction. Software developers will be given requirements from other lead
developers or from client managers to create or customize software to meet
clients’ needs. The individual will typically work on a development
team.
The
ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of platforms and be
proficient in object oriented programming. Experience in requirements
gathering and the development of test plans is a plus.
Required Skills: proficiency with at least one of the
following languages: C#, Java or c++; proficiency using an integrated development
environment (IDE) such as Visual Studio or Eclipse; knowledge and application
of XML-related technologies (XSLT, XPATH, etc.); SQL knowledge
Experience in the following is a plus: Object Oriented
Programming, SQL Server stored procedures, software version control and
configuration management.
