Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for bug fixes, debugging code and ongoing support for the E-commerce application.
• Responsible for assisting Lead Developer with coding new development projects for the Frontgate.com and GrandinRoad.com E-commerce websites running on existing J2EE based E-commerce platforms.
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Staying current on E-commerce development best-practices and making recommendations accordingly
Requirements
Experience Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 2-4 years front end B2C E-commerce web development experience including shopping cart, checkout, promotions engine, backend integration, etc.
• 3 years experience with any J2EE Application Server and other web development tools, including _javascript_, JSP and Java.
• Experience with Apache 2.0 and Resin 2.1 preferred
• Experience with a J2EE application server such as JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic required
• Solid database skills and experience with Oracle 9i, PL/SQL, and tuning required
• Unix/Linux OS proficiency with shell scripting
• Understanding of the full web architecture including SSL, firewalls, browser issues, protocols, and configurations
• Commercial experience in HTML, CSS and _javascript_
Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Detail-oriented and organized while working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
Ability to work individually and as a team with remote members
