Job Description:
Perform duties as an integral team player to solve complex
problems in close collaboration with the client and other contractors in a
dynamic environment. The successful candidate is one who works well in a
team environment. Task will include working closely with the customer to
identify and document customer software requirements, develop and test software
applications that address customer requirements, document use of the software
as needed, and deploy the software into operational use. Once
implemented, the team will be responsible for the sustainment and upgrade of
the software to ensure compliance with current and future customer
requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Participate in the development of systems
design specifications, and prepares or reviews systems documentation and report
layouts using automated tools, current design techniques or functional program
specifications.
• Perform analysis, design, and development of
computer systems software which may require some research and analysis.
• Participate in meetings with functional/user
management to define systems requirements and to resolve problems in existing
software.
• Work under general direction on application
problems involving all phases of systems analysis and development to provide
resolutions.
• Coordinate with the project manager to ensure
problem solution and user satisfaction.
• Assist in preparing milestone status reports.
• Prepare required documentation, including both
program-level and user-level documentation.
• Participate in the development of test
strategies and develop unit tests.
• Research problems discovered by quality
assurance or product support and develop solutions to those problems.
• Assist in the evaluation of software and
hardware products.
• Participate in the analyzes cost and benefit
trade-offs of systems solutions.
• Assist in translating detailed design into computer
software and database management systems.
Job Requirements:
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's of Science degree in
computer engineering or related field and four (4) years experience in software
development.
MUST HAVE SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE: HTML, _javascript_,
JavaSE 5, XML
DESEIRABLE SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE: AJAX, J2EE 5, Web Services, XSLT, Oracle,
Hibrenate (or comparable), Eclipse (or comparable IDE), Subversion and CVS,
JUnit, HTTPUnit, Tomcat (or comparable Servlet Container), LifeRay
- Must have active TS. TS/SCI is preferred
- Experience with MASINT techniques and products are
desirable. Having worked previously in the intelligence community is a
definite plus
- Experience in requirements definition process and
design lifecycle process, to include: gap analysis, conducting system-level
trades and architecture development
- Must be a team player and have strong oral and
written skills to interface with other engineering team members and client
personnel
