We
currently have an opening for an Applications Architect. Successful candidate
will be responsible for Architectural Blueprint, Mentoring of Application
Developers, Projects and Research and Development.
· The employee will be expected to research
the latest technologies
· The employee will be required to work with
the Director to create development guidelines and utilize open source tools for
common development work.
· Create internal demos to demonstrate
common development patterns
Project Responsibilities
· Work with project managers to support
architecture tasks on new projects.
· Responsible for all designs on new
projects
· Responsible for performance and ease of
maintenance of new applications
· Selection of technologies and tools
-Experience architecting object oriented systems
-Experience with open architecture
-Experience with J2EE, Struts
-Experience with Open Source tools such as Hibernate, Junit, Log4j, Ant, CVS
-Experience with Middleware tools such as JBOSS, Websphere, BEA Weblogic
-Experience with Eclipse, IDEA, or other Java IDE's
-Experience with Oracle 8i or higher
-Experience with .NET
-Experience with Enterprise
Library
-Experience with application security
-Employee needs to be able to teach and mentor younger developers in coding
standards and patterns
-Employee needs to be highly motivated and proactive
-Bachelor degree in information systems or similar degree
-At least 5 years of previous IT experience
