Java Development
As a Java Developer with U.S. Bank, you will:
Be responsible for working with our Treasury Management business
partners to provide solutions to our corporate customers in the form of
web applications.
US Bank's SinglePoint application will be the focus of these efforts.
Be responsible for full life-cycle development, from inception through
transition, focusing on implementation of the actual solutions.
Utilize Java, J2EE, and SQL skills to translate use cases and wire frame
documents into Java code and DB2 data models.
Be responsible for utilizing best practices in Java development
methodologies and patterns.
Be eligible for Employee Referral Bonus Program.
Requirements
While we expect that youâll possess a strong basic skill set, including
excellent communication and people skills, strong analytical and
problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team or
independently, we also require:
3-4years of Java (J2EE preferred) application development in a web
environment, 3 years of JSP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS development, 1
year of usage of JSP / custom tags, and 1 year experience coding in an
MVC model for user interface (struts and tiles experience required).
Experience with WebSphere Studio App Developer / Rational Application
Developer, ClearCase , and Sun Certification is a plus.
Financial experience, specifically in Corporate Banking, is a major
plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to perform self-directed work
given business requirements, high-level designs, and overall
architectural direction.
Knowledge of security implications of web applications, and have some
experience designing secure web applications.
A working knowledge of database query design using SQL, and be able to
incorporate that into Java applications.
Strong quality emphasis, including unit test experience (automated and
manual), and code review skills.
We also have several positions open on our Production Stability team,
focusing on continual improvements in our product and prompt resolution of
our customers needs. These positions would require similar amounts of
experience, but would require an broad generalist that can understand and
analyze entire systems, and can interact in a pro-active way with our
internal and external customers. These positions would also offer
considerably more flexibility in work hours and location than our more
standard development roles.
These positions are open immediately, and are located at our Lunken
Operations center, near the Lunken airport.
