JOB DESCRIPTION

We currently have a Java developer position available in the Store Manager
Workbench application team. Store Manager Workbench (SMW) is an enterprise,
web-based application that provides daily, exception-based information to
Store Managers. SMW delivers key information from multiple applications
within a single user interface or *digital dashboard* via the Intranet.

The SMW application utilizes the following technologies: WebSphere
Application Server, WebSphere Portal Server, WebSphere Portlet Factory
(formerly Bowstreet), relational databases, portlets, servlets, JSPs,
JavaScript, XSLT and XML. Development tools include Rational Application
Developer and ClearCase.

The position offers the opportunity to work as a programmer / analyst in
developing new SMW functionality and support of existing code. The selected
applicant will work closely with IS&S team members, the Web Infrastructure
group, business representatives, application users, and the Support Center.
The position will also participate in a support pager rotation.

Essential Job Functions:
* Develop new SMW functionality and support existing code.
* Ability to develop and deliver new functionality from conceptual
requirements.
* Design, write, and test application code.
* Interact with users and the Support Center to resolve questions and
issues.
* Participate in the support pager rotation.

Requirements:
* A minimum of 1-year of Java server-side programming experience.
* A minimum of 1-year HTML and Java Script experience.
* Knowledge of relational databases (DB2, Informix and/or Oracle).
* Working knowledge of Unix or similar operating systems.
* Experience with WebSphere Application Server (Portal Server a plus).
* Function in a team environment; Good communication skills.
* Results-driven and service oriented.
* Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly.
* Ability to implement solutions and resolve problems with minimal
guidance.
* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science a plus.
